Our goal is to facilitate financial independence for lower income single mothers. We will provide the necessary tools and training that will enable our clients to care for their children while procuring a viable income. This will instill the self-confidence needed to achieve their future goals while breaking the cycle of poverty in which many lower income families find themselves trapped.
Simply put, we will ensure that lower income, single mothers have access to online jobs. For a single mother trying to pay the bills and raise her children, at least 36-62% of her income, per child, goes to childcare.* It is also difficult for many mothers to keep their jobs due to lack of transportation. This, combined with the long hours and low pay required at many service or factory jobs makes it virtually impossible for a single mother to move out of an impoverished situation and create a future for herself and her children.
Our solution is to provide women not only with the technology and skills to work from home; but with the support of major corporations pledging jobs, we will ensure that they are hired and set up for success.Working from home lowers transportation and wardrobe costs while negating many child care expenses. It also ensures that older children are not left home without supervision.
Enable Mothers will provide the necessary tools, opportunities, and support structure; enabling women to get the first foothold towards better careers and stronger families.
